Sloan Building Co. Homeowners
Your home warranty.
Every home we build comes with a warranty administered by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. Their homeowner portal is where a new owner registers the home, and where anyone with an account signs in to read their coverage or report a warranty item.
2-10 NewHome CareThe first call for anything warranty related: registration trouble, questions about coverage, or an open request.
Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
Registering takes about five minutes.
The portal looks up the home by address, so it helps to have the welcome letter or Certificate of Warranty Coverage nearby. Use the address exactly as it appears there.
-
Start at the portal
Go to 2-10.com/homeowner, choose Sign In, then Sign up here.
-
Verify the email address
Enter an email address and 2-10 sends a verification code. Enter the code, then create a password and choose Create My Account.
-
Confirm contact details
First and last name, a phone number, and the phone type. This is the contact 2-10 uses to schedule service.
-
Add the home
Enter the last name, street address, and zip code, then choose Lookup Property. When the address comes up, confirm it and choose Add to My Account.
The first person to register becomes the primary homeowner on the account, and the primary account is the one that can submit service requests. If a home was registered before July 2024, 2-10 will ask for a fresh email verification and a new password the first time back in.
Everything about the warranty lives in one place.
Coverage, documents, and service requests all sit on the dashboard for the home.
See what is covered, and for how long
The dashboard shows the coverage types on the home, the effective date, and when the systems and structural coverage each expire.
Download the warranty documents
The Warranty Booklet and the Certificate of Warranty are under My Account, then My Documents.
Report a warranty item
Open the Service Requests tab and choose New Service Request. A short questionnaire asks what the issue is and where it is, with room to attach photos. Each request gets a number and a status the account can follow. On a phone, the Service Requests tab sits off to the right, so scroll across or turn the phone sideways.
If it is an emergency
A major leak, no power, or no heat or cooling: follow the emergency procedures in the closing packet first, do what is needed to keep the damage from spreading, and then submit the request in the portal as soon as possible.
We built it. We are still here.
2-10 NewHome Care handles the warranty itself. For anything else about the home, from a finish question to a referral for a trade we trust, reach out to us directly.
The 2-10 Homeowner Portal User Guide walks through registration and service requests screen by screen. Download the guide (PDF). Warranty terms are set out in the Warranty Booklet and Certificate of Warranty issued for each home, and nothing on this page changes them.
