Every Sloan home is designed in-house. Here's the process, the philosophy, and the team behind it.
How we work.
Architecture first.
We collaborate with a trusted architectural partner to identify and solve for all site challenges and requirements. Together we lay out an architectural plan that is functional and reliable.
Then design.
As soon as the basic architectural elements are established, the in-house design team gets to work. The process begins with a conceptual idea for the interior, tied to the architectural vision and the neighborhood vernacular. Early selections are made, visualized, and sampled. The design is refined over the course of several months, ensuring no detail, functional or aesthetic, is overlooked.
Aligned throughout.
Our in-house team works closely with the architect, outside vendors, and consultants to ensure that all design intent remains aligned and intact through the process.
Built with care.
Sloan then intimately manages the build. Not only from an early rough construction phase, but all the way through finish installations, ensuring that the envisioned quality and look is maintained through every step.
The goal is to create market homes that feel inherently warm, rich, and like home. Builder-grade homes are so often empty shells without spirit. We want spaces that feel welcoming, lived in, and personal from day one.
Scientists of spatial impact.
We design layered lighting, visual cues, and color psychology to create spaces that are balanced, intentional, and feel genuinely good to be in.
We also choose materials that are as non-toxic as possible, recycled or environmentally responsible, and built to stand the test of time with real-life use and functionality.
Led by design.
Sloan’s design studio is led by Crystal Russell, whose seventeen years across residential interiors and architecture have earned three HBA CARE Awards in a single year (Best Whole House and Best Interior Design among them), four consecutive years on Colorado Homes & Lifestyles’ Fabulous List, and recognition as one of Denver’s Five Under Forty in 2019. This portfolio and passion for design sets the standard for the interior spaces we build, and it’s what helps a Sloan home feel custom from day one.
