We live where we work.
Sloan is a Denver home builder. The homes we put up go up in the neighborhoods we live in, and we treat them that way.
Twenty years on Denver job sites.
Reid Goolsby founded Sloan in 2009. After graduating from Colorado College in 2004, he spent seven years with one of Denver’s largest local home builders. He was involved in the construction of more than five hundred single-family homes. Reid earned a Master’s degree in Real Estate Construction Management from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business in 2007. He started Sloan two years later.
Reid has been a resident of the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood since 2005. He lives there with his wife Diana, their children Camila, Vera, and Leo, and their dog Ollie. Reid takes pride in his community and is honored to build homes in the neighborhood and surrounding areas.
Like buying a house designed for you.
A home is not a product. That belief shapes how Sloan operates from the framing up. The decisions made in the early design phases shape how a home feels to live in for the next thirty years, and they get made first, in our studio, before any framing crew arrives.
The studio is run by Crystal Russell, a senior interior and architectural designer with more than seventeen years of residential experience. Crystal understands both sides of the work: what it takes to design a well-thought-out home, and what it takes to actually get built without losing its intent. She previously owned a successful design-build firm in Denver and held a Class B general contractor’s license. She’s involved in every Sloan home from initial concept through site implementation. Design and construction stay together, not handed off as separate problems.
The warmth is built in, not staged. Whatever else a Sloan home is, it’s anything but builder-grade.
Every home is built for how it feels to live in it.
Beyond the framing and finishes, Sloan homes are built with daily wellness as a design input from the start.
The biggest purchase most people make.
A home purchase is the single largest investment most people will ever make in their lives. We treat it that way, from the first conversation through the warranty period.
The service Sloan offers during the buying process is what most builders reserve for their highest-touch clients. We walk every home, explain every system, every shutoff, every maintenance interval. Not a five-minute orientation. A real handover.
After closing, we stay involved. The warranty isn’t a paperwork formality, it’s a continued relationship. The goal is for every Sloan buyer to leave the closing table confident in their house, ready to manage what comes next.
Why we build models for the market.
Most homes on the market are built to a formula. Builder-grade finishes, a small palette to pick from, plans that repeat. We wanted to offer something else.
Every Sloan home is designed in-house and built like a custom home, but it’s already standing when you find it. You can walk the rooms, feel the light, and know exactly what you’re buying.
No long wait through construction. No finishes to choose from a brochure. No second-guessing what a floor plan will become. Just a home that’s ready when you are, designed and finished like nothing else around it.
That’s what Building for Forever means here. Not a slogan. A standard.
